Our Story
The Greenwald’s owned an interior plantscaping business in Ohio. There, they successfully created lush interiors for major malls, hotels and hospitals east of the Mississippi. In addition to the plantscaping business, they owned and operated a special event company. Both businesses were sold in 1987 to a $500 million dollar company.
The Greenwald’s bring years of experience to the table in the special event business. They have extensive knowledge in the planning, designing, fabricating and implementation of elaborate not-for-profit fundraising parties hosted throughout Ohio, Florida and Washington D.C. They also served on seven not-for profit boards were they assisted in capital campaigns ranging from $2.5 to $160 million. With all of this knowledge, they founded RecognitionArt in 1993.
Both of the Greenwald’s have received investments for various not-for-profits of $50,000 to $500,000 and understand what motivates donors. They have knocked on doors and been rewarded and refused on behalf of not-for-profits. Therefore, they understand what motivates donors and have incorporated that into RecognitionArt.
Using their knowledge from a variety of charitable organizations and understanding the importance of recognition to donors, they created a business model dedicated to assisting not-for-profits.They believe in using client’s funds directly for products and not commissioned salespeople.
This philosophy has garnered RecognitionArt hundreds of clients in almost every state, province and the Caribbean. With many repeat clients, RecognitionArt is one of the premier donor recognition companies in the country.
We have developed many cost effective, compelling displays for every conceivable type of not-for-profit with the overriding factors being value and artistic components.
